I am a Life Empowerment Coach - I coach and empower women on how to be their best self, how to control and develop a strong mindset, how to handle stress, how to live their best life, how to overcome obstacles and how to deal and manage their anxiety and depression.

I created my business from scratch and create my own online courses to empower women who feel lost and stuck and just need some direction in their lives. I also have created a community called “The Tribe of Empowering Women” where I help guide women through their daily challenges and help motivate and encourage them to live fully and live the life they know they are capable of.

A couple of years ago, I hit my rock bottom. I was diagnosed with major burnout, PTSD, situational anxiety and depression due to the excessive amount of stress in my life. During the lowest point in my life, I had to deal with some pretty big things and had to realize some very big lessons in my life.

First, and foremost, I had to learn that the lifestyle I was living (overworking, no down time, being a people pleaser, and so on) was literally killing me. I also had to deal with a health system in which medication was really the only solution offered to me. There were no strategies, suggestions or tools to help me through this, only a band-aid to cover up what was happening.

So, I began to study, learn and understand what was happening to me and started to share my story publicly. When I started to share, the amount of women who reached out to me was staggering. At that moment, I decided that this hardship was going to lead to something good. I was going to use this moment in my life, that was by far the hardest moment, and make it something great.

I did everything in my power to learn strategies, coping mechanisms, I took training from top coaches, I attending seminars, I read books, I did everything in my power to not only help myself but to help others who were suffering and needed someone in their corner.

Hence, Gina Keeping Coaching was born and it is now my mission to help and empower as many women as I can live their best lives, live a quality life and learn how to handle our obstacles instead of letting them define us.

What are you most proud of professionally? And who or why?

I am most proud of creating my business and taking one of my most challenging times into something that is beautiful and can make an impact on others that are struggling and need someone in their corner.

What's your vision for Atlantic Canada in 10 years? What’s our biggest opportunity now?

My vision in the next 10 years is to grow and make a greater impact and help as many women as possible. Right now, as I complete this application I am on my way to Ghana, Africa to participate in an international seminar for women entrepreneurs and hope to gain new knowledge, connections and networks to grow my business. I have been chosen as 1 of 10 Canadian women who will share their expertise and participate in the Uniterra program, which will allow me to grow my business even more which will organically lead to reaching more amazing women.

What's your favourite or most read book or podcast?

One of my all time favourite podcasts is ‘School of Greatness’ and I am constantly reading and taking my learning to the next level so choosing a favourite book is difficult. BUT two of my favourites are ‘You are a Badass’ and ‘Awaken The Giant Within’.

What's your deepest learning from this past year? How did/will you apply it?

I think this trip to Africa will be the biggest catalyst for my learning. I will come back to this question when I return.

What were your priorities and how did they help you overcome some of the struggles you've faced?

My priority is to help others. This has been the driving force to overcome my obstacles and to keep going in this business. My principles I live by are to be kind to everyone you meet, to always give your most in everything you do, to be your best self and to live your life according to your values and be your true authentic self.
